Our new KZOO Grand Champion

The Mauna Kea Ballroom at
the Prince Hotel was the setting
for this year's 34th Annual
KZOO Karaoke Festival on
Sunday the 16th.

Craig Shimizu of Shimizu Voice and his amazing young
(9 years old) student and 2014's new GRAND CHAMPION, Aolani Silva!
Richard Afuso, with the white
lei placed 2nd in the Super
Senior division.

Aolani follows in the talented footsteps of
Amy Katsumoto (2012 Grand Champion) and Tevita
Apina (2011 Grand Champion).
Myrtle, on the right, is a veteran singer
and performer also.

Flo and Adora, sisters, also are experienced
singers.  And on the left is Janie who combines
singing with her guitar playing.

Surrounded by such talented and interesting
people, I forgot to take photos of the
lunch (salmon)we were served, except for dessert.

Aolani Silva's winning song was Abaredaiko and Richard Afuso
sang Shiritaku Nai No.

Winners -first, second and third places- of the various divisions.
Junior, Teen, Adult, Senior, and Super Senior (80+) and
Grand Champion Aolani in turqoise.

R picked us up.  The Prince was crowded with cars and attendees,
as well as people and buses here for the Jehovah's Witness Convention.
We went to Tokoname in Manoa for an early supper.
It was a fun, musical day.
