plumbers, Sakura Terrace, Grandma and Jiro, MW's

The plumbers are still working on our bathrooms.
They set up plastic protection in preparation for opening a hole in the living room wall to reach the piping in the bathroom on the other side.  Then, of course, they will paint the wall after covering the hole.

We took the computer to the techs at the Apple Store again today and now I am able to access my Photo album again!
What a great service they provide - and so courteously and pleasantly, too.

The other day we tried Sakura Terrace.  They allow pets if you sit on the terrace outside, and although King Street is so close, it was pleasant enough.

The waiter even brought a water bowl for Penny.

Penny, of course, was glued to my lap and was such a good girl.

The Agedashi tofu seemed more like a katsu.  They can be very light and crisp on the outside with the hot tofu inside, but these seemed breaded.

R's tempura and sashimi dinner.

Steak dinner.

Japanese parfait.  Azuki beans, ice cream and green tea mochi over corn flakes.  Strangely good.

It'll be almost two months since we lost Grandma.   Here she is in her younger days in Tokyo, with Jiro, the cat.
She had so many fascinating stories to tell about going to Japan in the 1950's to live.  It was another world then.

Enjoying MW's with Linda.  A great place to go during the hours between lunch and dinner.

Katsu sandwich.

The Butterfish and Unagi Arancino over tsukudani sauce.

"Pressed chicken".  Soo good and crispy.

Unusual for R : the loco moco MWstyle.

The Desserts:
They were all delicious!

Coconut Cake

Floating Island

Local Mango Shave Ice
