Shirokiya, Homer's cheese

Shirokiya is preparing to move to the Ewa side of the Ala Moana SC and has put up an interesting display of photos and history panels of it's past.

It's album of programs and ceremonies throughout the years was fun to see.

Today we had lunch at the Spaghetti Factory in Ward's Warehouse, one of many branches across the U.S.

It's charming and hopefully it'll still be here until next year.
Kincaid's next door also said it will be here longer than expected, which means that Ward's will not be demolished to make way for new Condos for awhile.

The second floor bar area seems like it might be pretty at night.  Must come back sometime.

It's been so many years since we last came, I had forgotten the menu, but the Mizithra Cheese pasta sounded like fun, especially since "Homer ate a lot of it while composing the Iliad"...ha.
Actually I liked it - a dry pasta with lots of cheese.
A glass of wine would've been great with it instead of the Italian cream soda, although that was nice and I could keep the glass.
