Spring doxie, etc.

Found some old photos of Bobby, the dachshund,   who lived about 50 years ago!

Tokyo spring in Grandma's yard.
Here come Lani and Bobby!
                                                                      ***********
M took some photos of the Okinawan Festival held in Kapiolani Park.
Hokulani, probably the most photographed Pom in Hawaii, was there in her hat and taiko drum necklace.

A very popular event over the weekend it featured many booths of food and products and a bon dance.

This year's event is the last that will be held in the park.
M got me a 2014 t-shirt since the 2017 ones were sold out.

A stop at Manichi ramen.
Love the Tonkotsu ramen with black garlic oil.

The other night we had a lovely dinner at the Pacific Club with   some of our neighbors.
Our hostess, in the center.

The special, Monchong, which is a pomfret,  is in season.

My lamb chops were hot, very tender and tasty.
With the champagne, scotch and  chilled tomato soup, I couldn't manage dessert.  Very unusual.

Sunday breakfast at Sweet E's

We tried popular SweetE's again.  If you go early (it opens at 7 am.  We arrived at 7:45 and the parking was full.  Luckily they have valet parking)   you have a choice of indoors or the outdoor terrace.

The Everyday Breakfast.  Although the pancakes were just ok, the Corned Beef Hash (which, unfortunately is not very visible) was delicious, with crispy edges.
Next time, will try the French Toast!
