Relaxing at the Honolulu Museum of Art

It has been awhile since I visited the Honolulu Museum of Art and since R was golfing, I left Penny to play at Pets In the City and relaxed for a couple of hours here.

There were some prints from the early 1900's  in the Japanese collection.

The serene Chinese Courtyard

Interesting little exhibit called Natural, Unnatural and Supernatural.

My favorite Renaissance gallery

We used to call these flowers Mountain Orchids.
They grew wild in the mountains around Manoa Valley.

A new addition to this courtyard in front of the Indian exhibit Hall.   A Coffee bar, at the left of the window.

Of course I had to try it.  French Press Island Coffee and chocolate chip cookie.

Voluptuous Indian carvings.

Parked under the Rainbow Shower tree in the parking lot.
The Golden and Rainbow Shower trees are in full bloom now.

The petals of the Golden Shower flowers fall like confetti, much like those of the Sakura (cherry).

R and his friends eat after golfing at the popular restaurant at Mililani Golf Course,  and he brought home their Pork Adobo Fried Rice for me.   Pudgie loved a bit of the egg and Penny gobbled some of the pork and rice with her regular food.
