M knows Maui pretty well. She likes to drive and explore and is an efficient guide. We visited some interesting and delicious eating places.

Of course we had to try Sam Sato's. Everyone recommends it. |

Extra dry veggie saimin. Hmm how to eat it… Since there was a little bowl of soup I dipped the flavored noodles in it with each bite, like eating Japanese zaru soba. Chewy, not overly salty and so good! |

It's an old style place that was worth the walk over in the light rain. |

They also serve Filipino food. M told us the PorkAdobo is excellent so I ordered it. It was! |

R had the Hawaiian mix plate. Like a little buffet on one dish. Kalua pork, teriyaki beef, fried fish, lomi salmon, haupia, poi. |
