Movie, Girl's day dolls, bye for awhile Pudgie and Penny

It's been voggier than usual the past couple of days, which makes for irritated throats and nasal passages, but lovely sunrises.

Linda and I went to see "Still Alice" with Julianne Moore at
the Kahala Mall Theaters.
I moderately enjoyed it.  Of course, the subject matter,
early onset Alzheimer's (the main character, a professor at Columbia University is only 50), is quite depressing.

Kurukuru Sushi next to
the theaters was still
empty so we had a
nice lunch.
Salmon kama, crisp salmon belly,
hamachi sushi, natto sushi, scallops
all added up to about $12 for each
us.
We  ordered our plates, rather
than pulling them off
the conveyor.

Dessert was Starbucks
house blend and lemon
pound cake.  It was fun
poking around the stores
here which are different
from those in Ala Moana Mall.
Thought I would set up
some Girl's Day dolls so
I went in search of the
Emperor and Empress dolls.
Our storage was filled to the brim with boxes with no Hinamatsuri box in sight so I gave up and put up some of the tiny
dolls that were in various cabinets instead.  Poor things.  They only get to be displayed once a year for Girl's Day on March 3rd.

We took  our pets to their "hotels".
It's always sad to leave them, even if it's only for a
short while.

Goodbye Pudgie.  Sorry
you'll be in a cage,
but there
are other hookbills to keep
you company at the Vets.

Penny will be at Aloha Dog
where we left her when we
went to Alaska last year.   She
ran barking and jumped at the window
as I left, wanting to go home.
