Bon dancing, Panya and Penny

Summer brings the Bon dance festivals out until August.
Haven't been to one in a couple of years so it was fun to join the night lanterns, music and dancers again.

Fellow naginata sisters and supporters of
the Fukushima Bon dance group.
Kathy sings and Sharon does the taiko in the yogurt.
Glenn and Faye's Doxies were a bit intimidated by the taiko drums, but soon were calm and friendly.
I don't think Penny would've been as calm.

Today, I had a smoked salmon sandwich at Panya with Penny and R.  Penny, as usual, is a good girl - never begging for food or attention in a restaurant even with a tantalizing piece of meat on a plate in front of her.
At home it's a different story.  She begs all over the place.
View from Panya.  In the background are the new luxury condominiums, Waiea, Anaha and the shopping area South Shore Marketplace.
