Family is here from California and Tokyo. So good to see everyone again. This time, it's in celebration of Grandma's birthday. She would be 100 years old in July. We've been gathering at her favorite Halekulani on her birthday since she passed away. House Without a Key is a must to start our family gathering. We somehow always have the hamburgers, although they did away with the outdoor grill on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Another change is the collapse of the poor old Keawe tree that was a landmark of the Hotel. But the band still plays soothing Hawaiian songs and the graceful hula dancer continues to ease visitors and locals into Hawaii's sway.
