Star Wars at Foster Botanical Garden, SweetE's, Panya

Unfortunately I didn't attend the Illumination evening at the Foster Botanical Garden but M and her friend did and took lovley photos of the wonderful event.  The  Army Band played and people brought their bentos (boxed meals) and sat on the lawn under the many trees and lights.

On the way to the Garden of Endor

In the garden.

The Jedi Academy was popular with the children who got to take lessons with the light saber.

Tried the SweetE Cafe in Kapahulu for breakfast on Sunday and it will be our favorite spot for brunch.

We sat in the terrace and had a nice view of the rainbow that came with the liquid sunshine.

Great service by friendly and efficient young men.

The eggs and meat came with a pancake.
R had the Portuguese sausage which was spiced just right and not at all fatty or tough.  His starch was rice, but you could choose from sauted potatoes or hash browns (which are buttery and good).

I opted for the home made corned beef hash which was heavenly with a touch of sweetness.
And the pancakes are absolutely great- tender, not spongy or too foamy, witha nice rich taste.
They are also known for their stuffed French Toast and Eggs Benedicts.

*****
It's been quite humid and hot lately so a nice icy Martini at Panya hits the spot.  No Penny today so we could sit inside the cool restaurant.
Panya is wonderful.  It's open all day, serves breakfast foods as well as curries, pasta, sandwiches, Asian food and cocktails and it has a nice bakery too.
Greedy Penny trying to bite all three of her balls at once.
