Blow Hole, Mariposa Burger

After an early Sunday breakfast at Zippys we drove to Sandy Beach to see the ocean.
Past Hanauma Bay and passing the rifle and archery range we stopped at the Blow Hole Lookout like good tourists.

The little bay that looks so inviting was already attracting bathers. It can be dangerous when people start climbing on the rocky areas over the sea.

The waters look so peaceful but there are strong currents below.

And there was the Blow Hole trying hard to spurt some spray for us.  It can be quite spectacular with the right conditions.

A lone kite.
When we were small we were told to keep away from Sandy Beach because of the waves and undertows.  Now it seems people are stronger swimmers and know how to manage the currents because there were so many there.

Mariposa for their late lunch service.  R and I felt like hamburgers!
Grandma always used to say the pretty fans twirling overhead made her dizzy so of course I kept eyeing them.

Luckily the food always does a good job of distracting me.
Mariposa burger and sweet potato fries.
