Stripsteak burger, Museum of Art, Penny leaps

Somewhere in the middle of Waikiki is this pretty little stream by an old Banyan tree.  Nature enhanced by man's creativity and visa versa.
The International Market Place.

There is a nice parking area.  Self park and get a validation and you can spend a couple of hours for about $4.00.

R was busy elsewhere on Wednesday so we treated ourselves to Stripsteak's cheeseburger for lunch.
Interesting photo shoot of food settings kept us entertained until our burgers arrived.

Nice thick meat patties, done perfectly (medium well) with no soppy mayonnaise or sauces.

New store in Hawaii - Kate Hudson's Fabletics for gym and athletic wear.

After lunch we visited the Honolulu Art Museum.
Admission is free on Wednesday's.
It's small but very peaceful.  We always leave feeling rested after walking in the galleries and enjoying the little courtyard gardens.

My little lady wooden statue is always there.

And since we didn't have dessert at Stripsteak, I stopped for iced coffee and a cookie at the quiet little coffee bar in the Islamic Art Courtyard.

The good thing about coming periodically to a museum is that you can take time to read about the paintings - sometimes for the first time, or sometimes in a different light.   Since I started taking Hula, I look at Hawaiian culture with a renewed interest.

In the evening,  after our walk in the mall, R and I had the  Green Freeze at Pressed Juicery.
I guess it's healthier than the Soybean shaved ice with ice-cream and condensed milk,  but shucks....

Glad to see that Pressed Juicery is popular.     People are always in there ordering the freezes and juices that have no sugar or dairy products in them.

Picking up Penny at Aloha Dog after a whole day.

All the other cuties come barking to see who gets to go home.
Penny knows it's her turn!

Someday she'll make it over.
The last thing a long dachshund should do is jump so the ladies are usually good about grabbing her before she does her leaping, but not this time.

home..home..home..home..
