Harbor lunch, McKinley High School

What? Leaving me again?
At least give me a snack.

After a routine yearly checkup at the doc's, we went to Tanaka Saimin to get some noodles , but couldn't find parking so ended up at Harbor on Pier 38.

It was doing well.  The tables aren't close together and the space is large so it's relaxing.

R had the Ahi Burger.  Nice thick piece of Ahi under the cheese and crunchy chips.

I had the Brassa cooked chicken breast over stuffing, and spinach.
$18.   Very nice.
The windows were open so once in awhile a warm breeze would flow in but still it was very comfortable.

I love the Affogato .  Two shots of espresso and gelato.

Demonstrating what can happen to your stomach when you have too much affogato.

This evening we went to hear the Interagency Biosecurity plan at the public meeting held at McKinley High School's cafeteria.
I thought I'd take some pics of the campus so Jane, an alumna and friend who lives in Tokyo, will remember her high school days.

The cafeteria

Patio outside the cafeteria.

I think the auditorium.

Some of the classroom buildings.
McKinley High School just celebrated it's 150th anniversary.
There are so many famous leaders of Hawaii who were and are graduates of this school.

One of the organizers being interviewed.
It is an agency that is trying
to interact with the government, private sectors and public, to prevent invasive pest species from entering Hawaii and causing huge revenue losses in agriculture especially.
(The $600 million agriculture industry loses 1/2 of it's revenues yearly due to these invasive pests)

Penelope happy that we're home and will throw things at her so she can run.
Here she comes...

...and there she goes.  Hmm she is quite long, isn't she.
