We like to celebrate a holiday before the day so we had a lovely Valentine's dinner at our favorite Michel's . It was not crazy busy but full and pleasant. Service and ambience were tops as usual.

| A pair of long haired dachshunds kept us and the next table entertained. One loved the water and swam out to get his toy several times. (We thought of Penny at Pets in the City) |

A most tender and tasty New York Steak au Poivre flamed with Jack Daniels whiskey, roasted garlic mashed potatoes and garden vegetables.
The warm chocolate cake with macadamia nut ice cream was wonderful too. |
