A beautiful day for a trip to
Byodoin in the Valley of the
Temples Memorial Park.

We love to play
tourist with Liz and CL.

We were welcomed by one of the black swans from Australia.
Some areas of this
garden complex look
like a lush version of those
found in Japan.
Completed in 1968, the
original plan was by
Kiichi Toemon Sano, a
famed Kyoto landscape
architect.

Other areas are very wild and
tropical.

There are koi everywhere.

Strawberry Guava trees
have beautiful bark and
branches.

After presenting flowers
to the dearly departed...

.
…we found a crepe shop in
Kailua for a late lunch.
Vegetarian crepe stuffed with
mushrooms, spinach, olives,
cheese and onions.

And a dessert berry crepe.
