Tonkatsu!

Another tradition is dinner at Ginza
Bairin in Waikiki on Beach Walk.

We always order the filet (tenderloin) tonkatsu and are never disappointed.  The rice is  good and the cabbage airy and finely cut.
The tonkatsu is thick and tender and the sensation of biting though the light and crispy coating dipped in mustard and/or sauce into the hot filet is mmmm wonderful.
We  decided to go to the little Tea Shop further down the street and get some gelato for dessert.

My choices were the not so adventuresome
vanilla and chocolate.  The
chocolate was so good.
Outdoor seating.
