Happy Easter! Newtown Park

Went to the CUC's Sunrise Service at 6 a.m. because we have Penny's obedience class at 10:30.
Good morning.

Fifty minutes earlier I had thrown on a sweater and headed out the door in the dark
…passing the wooden white dove from son R.
It was cold and breezy, but
the Sanctuary steps were
welcoming.
Reverend Dr. Scott who
conducted this Communion
Service.
The wild green parrots from Tantalus were whirling and singing around us in the trees, as they do every morning and evening.
Sunrise Cross, which until
this morning was draped
in black cloth.

At breakfast, Pudgie didn't know what to do with Peep, the marshmallow bunny (which is quite good with coffee)

Yesterday at naginata practice,  Kathy (who has two corgis in the earlier advanced classes at Art's Obedience School)  and I were laughing about how soaked we had been in the rain last sunday and how our dogs had reacted.
So Sharon, a naginata student who lives above Newtown Park, kindly called to tell me that it had rained last night and the ground might be muddy.

Penny was not happy.  She couldn't understand why I was pullling and pushing at her to get her to move and sit and turn,  and was barking or facing the wrong way throughout the lesson.
Of great interest to R, was the golf practice range next door.
He will bring his clubs next time.

There is a Korean takeout and tables too.
We had the breakfast eggs.  So good!

Such a pretty park and area.
