Rainy, cold Newtown Park, cold Pacific Club

Our long awaited Art's Obedience Classes for dogs arrived.   It always rains when we go to Aiea's Newtown Park and today was nonstop rain, but classes were held.
Penny found another mini doxie who is  3 months younger but quite bigger than she is.

Dogs of all sizes and shapes were there and Penny barked at all of them democratically.

Beginner class trying to learn to sit, heel, down.   Looks like a nice day but it was pouring rain and cold and Penny didn't like it.

Between the barking and complaining about the weather, Penny lost all focus.  Art, in the blue windbreaker,  was as soaking wet as all of us.

Thank heavens it stopped raining for this evening's event at the Pacific Club,  the annual dinner of the Hawaii Chapter of the East-West Center Association.

A fund raiser with a bazaar and auction as well as student entertainment.  No rain, but windy and cold.
R had to leave just before the buffet dinner to pick up Penny from  Aloha Dog, which closes at 6 p.m. on Sundays.

Janie looking at interesting items for sale from Asian countries.
She found some lovely things she can use for her Chinese brush painting.

I found a cute wooly ram from Mongolia for $6.
(Wonder how you say "dust collector" in Mongolian)

Isao, Denise, Jay and Janie.  Thank you Denise and Jay for suggesting this very interesting evening.
