Hot soup and cuteness

Good Luck red jumps at you as you enter Bloomingdales.
Chinese New Years is about to begin and it's the Year of the Rooster.

In the Dillingham Shopping area is Utage, an Okinawan restaurant.
We were craving hot sparerib soup with vegetables and
 were lucky to have arrived at a slow interval.  Usually it is not this empty.

A lot of grated ginger to add to the soup.

Hot soup with daikon, greens, and konbu seaweed, along with pork spareribs.  A traditional Okinawan soup.

There was Penny!!
Most of the dogs are of the cute, cute furry white variety, but there  are velvety dark ones too!
