Hide chan

Well, it seems I gave my head cold to R.  After resting all day we headed to Hidechan to get our oxtail soup.   They also serve sparerib soup and pig's feet soup.
goya tempura

Their soups are always skimmed well.

What a lovely tenugui.  Arigato.  I remember  when we first  started living in Tokyo in the early 70's many stores and restaurants would give their patrons tenugui and little gifts around year end and the first three days of New Years especially.  I remember one coffee shop in Ginza gave us three feathered shuttlecocks for the hagoita, a wooden decorative "paddle",
that is symbolic of New Years.
