Transmissions and wine

What do you do when your car's transmission says its final farewell?   Friend Audrey decided to donate hers to the Kidney Car Foundation so I went with her.  How pleasant and simple it was to do the transactions -transferral of the deed, and arrangements to tow the car from Kiyo's Transmissions.

First Interstate Building on King Street

Kiyo's on Queen Street

Around the corner from Kiyo's was this oddly named cafe.  Wonder what it's like inside.
Interesting to see in the background the luxury condos Koolani and Hokua.    The Kakaako area is changing.

Then we went to Jimbo's and had our favorite udon -cold kama age hosoudon with tempura.

We had left Penny with Aloha Dog earlier so after resting a bit R and I went to our favorite Chez Kenzo and had a light supper before picking her up.
There is free parking in stalls 32 to 76 in front of the grill.

Pork shabu salad

Filet and mashed potato with fresh chopped wasabi

Great Happy Hour menu.    Wine by the glass for $4.
