Brahms to Backstreet Boys, Hawaiian Memorial Park

Someone mentioned Takeshitadori in Harajuku the other day and it made me think of our favorite coffee/lunch place there.  It was a haven from busy and noisy Takeshitadori.

Brahms wa Daisuki                                     A little cafe on a quiet side street parallel to Takeshita dori.   The name means  "I love Brahms" .    Wonder if it  has to do with the novel Aimez Vous Brahms?  I know I must've asked but I don't remember clearly.

It was still there, but closed, when we visited Tokyo a few years ago.

On a different note, some friends took us to a "maid cafe" in   Akihabara,   which were popular then.

The guests are greeted by cutesy girls  dressed as maids.
The Backstreet Boys had come to this cafe!!  The cards on the tables show where they sat!!

That's what made living in Tokyo so fun.  Variety!
This afternoon we drove to the resting places of R's father and my parents.
The views of the Koolaus and ocean are beauiful.
No signs of wild chickens.   They were proliferate last year.
