Reminds me that three years ago, thanks to Denise and Jay , R and I, with Janie and Isao went to the USS Missouri at Pearl Harbor to hear this amazing 94 year old speak about his experiences.
What an exciting and thoughtful day that was. Must go back and re-read Laura Hillenbrand's book "Unbroken".

At Lupicia at the Mall the special New Years tea is "Otemba" for the year of the Horse. Otemba can also mean a "tomboy". |
An old Korean gentleman told my mother to boil a whole chicken with cloves of whole garlic for a cold weather soup. |
