From Nico's to Diamond Head

We both went to the gym today to exercise so we felt that we could go back to Nico's and have a hearty dinner.    They allow dogs outdoors so Penny was happy.

The crispy calamari was so good.   They have wines on tap and  the special of the day was a Riesling  for $5.

I was going to order the short ribs last time we came, but was side tracked by the mahimahi fish and chips.  A bit salty but tender.

R ordered the furikake ahi.

Good Penny.  I took off her collar and she was quiet through the whole dinner watching the people outside.

Fishing boats in the harbor in front of Nico's .
The ride back to Ala Moana.  Aloha Tower.

Wards Warehouse under the moon.

Drove through the boat harbor in front of the Prince Hotel.

View from the Hilton Lagoon area.

The drive up to Diamond Head lookout.

Diamond Head  Lighthouse.

Remember the days when we were children and  Madame Pele walked on Diamond Head?  And you should never carry pork in your car?
The kiawe trees are still there but Madame Pele has long gone on to find more suitable haunting grounds.
