New Years floral arrangements

It's already the third day of the new year.

We had our first voice lesson for the year - thank you Craig Sensei for your patience while my body parts, like my diaphragm and vocal chords and various muscles,  try to find each other and work together!   Practice, practice.

While Penny was having fun playing with the other dogs (hopefully) at Aloha Dog ,  we went to Chez Kenzo and had our usual.

A toast to the New Year and you

We also tried the cheese and prosciutto over melon plate.  Nice blend of flavors.

New Years floral arrangements from the past couple of years

Two from the Academy of Arts

These two were from a New Years Tea Ceremony at the Urasenke Tea House, Seikoan, at the Japanese Cultural Center

An informal decoration at our home.  The scroll was painted by a priest for my father's mother when she was living in Hagi, Yamaguchi almost a hundred years ago.
The origami crane is easy to fold and can hold mochi or any other holiday decoration,
